As the year ends it is always a time of reflection for me. Having spent the majority of the year in a tent it was great to be back in Ann Arbor, MI for most of the fall. The connections Katie and I made there were highly impactful and transformative. Learning new skills and transitioning back to life in the U.S. Our fall took us everywhere from the Bad River Band of Chippewa reservation, New York, Maine, Colorado, and eventually back to North Dakota.
I would like to thank all the people and experiences that make life rich. Big thanks to Guardian Tree Experts in Ann Arbor for teaching me the ways of professional arboriculture and becoming like a second family to me. Work always felt inviting and warm, regardless of the work load.
We are back into a transition state as Katie just finished at University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a Masters degree in Social Work. The next chapter will be Tacoma, WA at least for the foreseeable future. Looking forward to 2018 and the close proximity to all the climbing the Pacific NW has to offer!
