After an eventful spring and summer on the west coast we packed up and headed east. Katie was accepted into the University of Michigan MSW program, with many incentives we decided to move to Ann Arbor. A brief lay over in ND led to our first proper American road trip together.
Before we unpacked we promptly took in the opening game at the Big House. Complete with an F16 fly over and a Micheal Jordan appearance. This place is crazy about Maize and Blue.....it's growing on us.
Took up working with Guardian Tree Experts full time as an arborist, as well as doing part time instruction for Planet Rock Climbing Gym between guiding seasons. Figured if I can't be near climbing I may as well find a way to scratch the itch. Tree climbing is a whole new experience, especially in wet sycamores wielding a chain saw!
Feels good to be back in the mid west and making more permanent connections with people. The Austral summer is calling though. I will be down in Argentina for the next few months guiding Aconcagua, and look forward to asados and Malbec.
As the year comes to a close I keep thinking, every year just keeps getting better and better!
More updates in January when I get back.
